Maria Mercier is a family nurse practitioner who enjoys caring for people with kidney disease. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2011 and considers herself fortunate to be part of the wonderful staff at Pikes Peak Nephrology Associates.  
Prior to moving to Colorado, Maria worked as a nurse practitioner in Lafayette, Louisiana in various settings. She cared for patients with kidney disease, heart disease, provided preventative care for high school students, and participated in research studies. Maria’s experience also includes teaching classes to patients, families and nursing staff in hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers and in a university setting.
Maria’s specialty is caring for individuals on hemodialysis in the Colorado Springs area. She also counsels those with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease in the Pikes Peak office to educate them on different treatment options such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplant.  
In her free time, Maria loves to spend time with her family and friends exploring Colorado.
