First Annual Kidney Fair

In celebration of National Kidney Month, PPNA and the National Kidney Foundation of Colorado, Montana and Wyoming held Colorado Springs’ first-ever free Kidney Health Fair on March 14th.    Our event offered a free Kidney Health Risk Assessment and educational information on everything from diet and diabetes to insurance programs.   More than 55 persons participated in the health risk screening.

We’d like to extend a special thanks to our volunteers and our event partners:   The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, Memorial Health System, Colorado Springs Health Partners, Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments, The City of Colorado Springs, The Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, The Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy, and David Cecil of OrthoBiotec.

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Colorado Springs Vice Mayor Larry Small and State Insurance Commissioner Marcy Morrison for attending our event.

The City of Colorado Springs presented Pikes Peak Nephrology Associates, PC with a Proclamation designating March to be Colorado Springs’ official Kidney Health Awareness Month.   The City also presented Pikes Peak Nephrology Associates, PC with a Certificate of Appreciation for our work and our nearly 30 years’ devotion to the community.   Check it out on our website!
