We appreciate the opportunity to serve as your nephrologists. We want to keep you informed about available services for all of your renal care needs. Several of our patients have asked us for information about options for dialysis services since DaVita is planning to reduce services offered at their Printers Place Dialysis Center in Colorado Springs. Specifically, we understand that DaVita will no longer provide routine hemodialysis at the Printers Place Dialysis Center. We would like to inform you of the alternative dialysis options available for those of you who have been displaced by these changes. Reliant Renal Care, www.reliantrenalcare.com, recently assumed operations at two existing dialysis centers in Colorado. Reliant Renal Care provides services in Colorado Springs at 1605 North Union Boulevard and in Trinidad, Colorado at 400 Benedicta Avenue. DaVita, www.davita.com, continues to operate dialysis centers at 2002 Lelaray Street in Colorado Springs, 6910 Bandley Drive in Fountain, and at 612 Del Sol Drive in Alamosa, Colorado. DaVita plans to open another Colorado Springs center at 6071 East Woodmen Road in early 2009. In addition, we understand that Liberty Dialysis, www.libertydialysis.com, a new provider in the Colorado market, is opening five new facilities in Colorado, including three in Colorado Springs. Liberty Dialysis plans to open its first center in Colorado at 850 Eagleridge Boulevard in Pueblo in mid-late December 2008, and will open a second center at 4318 Trail Boss Drive in Castle Rock in early 2009. In Colorado Springs, Liberty Dialysis will have centers located at 2180 Hollow Brook Drive, 2508 Airport Road, and at 1910 Lelaray Street.
With three nationally recognized dialysis service providers operating in various locations throughout southern Colorado, you will have more choices in dialysis service providers and dialysis modalities.
Your care and treatment is of the utmost importance to us. If you wish, you may continue receiving services at your current facility, and if you currently receive treatment at the Printers Place Dialysis Center, we are happy to review your treatment options with you. Please be assured that there will be no need to change nephrologists. The physicians at Pikes Peak Nephrology Associates, PC, Drs. DeVault, Flaxenburg, Fox, Hockensmith, Mallory, Yuan and our nurse practitioners, Darcy Kolassa, Susan Stewart, and Wayne Weissinger, will continue to oversee your nephrology and dialysis care regardless of where you elect to receive care. If you have any questions about the options available for your dialysis treatment, particularly in light of the reduction in services offered at the Printers Place Dialysis Center, please do not hesitate to approach or call us with questions. We are very proud of the clinical outcomes and quality that we have provided to our patients for more than 30 years. Thank you for the opportunity to provide your dialysis care. George A. DeVault, Jr., MD Jesse A. Flaxenburg, MD Stephen D. Fox, MD Melinda L. Hockensmith, MD Roger L. Mallory, MD Brad H. Yuan, MD |
