Bio
Dr. Roger Mallory had an interest in science from a young age, and with a physician father, he had a role model to help guide him into the medical field.
After earning a B.S. in Chemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta , Dr. Mallory then went on to complete a master's degree at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.  It was at this time that he decided he could best integrate his gifts, beliefs and service through practicing medicine.

He enrolled in medical school at the Medical College of Georgia where he earned his Doctor of Medicine.   He went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at Bowman Gray school of medicine, Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC .  His love of chemistry and physiology led him to enroll in the Nephrology fellowship program at Wake Forest which he completed in 1997.

Dr. Mallory practiced medicine in Oregon and South Carolina before finding his ideal home in Colorado at Pikes Peak Nephrology Associates in 2000. He chose Pikes Peak Nephrology because of the organized and professional set-up of the practice itself, and the quality of the physicians with whom he has the privilege to work.

In an age of “assembly line medicine” Dr. Mallory prefers to take the time to get to know his patients and explain the physiology of kidney disease believing that when patients understand what is going on in the kidneys, they are empowered to better manage their disease.  He enjoys carefully explaining the medical challenges his patients are facing and the importance of their lifestyle choices on their kidney health and disease progression.

A devoted family man, Dr. Mallory has been happily married for over 25 years and has three wonderful sons and a very special daughter in law. Additionally, he shares his home with his three dogs and two cats. His hobbies include guitar, camping, ATV-ing,  hiking, tennis, travel, reading, and “fixing things in the garage.”   He volunteers in medical missions activities and is active in his church.  He loves living in Colorado and enjoying its beauty and adventure every opportunity he is given.
